About Sangue

Sangue is a Senegalese Drum Master and teacher.  He began fabricating Djembes over twenty years ago, and has been playing professionally for the past sixteen.  Sangue has collaborated with musicians all over the world, and has performed in West Africa and Europe. He has hosted workshops in Senegal, Berlin, and Rome, where he taught serious students of the Djembe and those who simply wanted to learn something new and have a good time.  A musician, dancer, and raconteur Sangue uses storytelling through the Djembe and Tama to build interpersonal relationships among his students.
